Travel the World is licensed to sell travel insurance in the State of California, under license number 0804585. Travel Guard is a top rated company, and they offer a policy, that is virtually unknown to the public, called "MedEvac"
This policy is ideal for anyone that travels away from their home on a regular basis, such as families that have a second get away home, business travelers, and many more.
The policy comes into force, anytime that you are at least 100 miles from your home residence, and is very affordable. It can be purchased for an individual, and there isalso a family plan.
Here is a general outline of the plans.
Medical Expense up to a maximum benefit of $50,000.00. Covers medical costs for illness or accident while traveling.
Emergency Evacuation &Repatriation of Remains – Unlimited(up to 2 persons per year). Will co-ordinate and pay for appropriate medical transportation to bring you to the hospital of your choice or home if medically necessary Transport of Dependent Children back home, accompanied by an attendant if necessary. Sick Visit- covers the cost of a visit from your spouse or other person. Repatriation of Remains; Should death occur, will arrange abd cover the cost of returning your remains home.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment up to $25,000.00
Security Evacuation up to $100,000 If, as a result of an occurrence that takes place during an insured's trip, and while traveling outside his or her home country, an insured requires a Security Evacuation, the insurer will pay a benefit to transport the insured to the nearest place of safety (up to $100,000.00)
Adventure Sports is optional add on. Coverage is provided for many adventure sports activities, typically not covered by other policies, including mountaineering, aviation, hang gliding, skydiving, parachuting and bungee jumping. Plan cost is 1.54 of base plan).
Individual plan cost, per year: Under 75 years is $219.00 Over 75 is $438.00
Family plan cost per year. Under 75 years is $369.00 Over 75 is $738.00
